My invite code isn't working — what should I do?
Last updated: March 25, 2026
If you're having trouble with a code during signup, you're not alone — this is the most common question we get. The first step is figuring out which code you need.
Invite codes vs. verification codes
Amissa uses two different types of codes, and they serve different purposes:
Invite code — This is the code your healthcare provider's practice sends you. It connects your account to their clinic. You enter it the first time you open the Amissa app.
Verification code — This is a one-time code sent to your email or phone to confirm your identity. You'll see these when verifying your email address or logging in via SMS.
If someone at your provider's office referred to an "access code," they most likely mean your invite code.
My invite code isn't working
Try the following:
Check your invitation email. Search your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for an email from Amissa or your healthcare provider. Your invite code is included in that email and is referred to as such.
Make sure you're entering the right code. The invite code is a short 8-character alphanumeric code.
Ask your provider or Amissa to resend. If you've lost the email or the code has expired, your provider can resend your invitation directly from their Amissa dashboard. They can also share the code with you verbally or in a message. Or, ask the Amissa support team.
My verification code isn't arriving
Check your spam or junk folder.
Make sure you're checking the correct email address — the one linked to your Amissa account.
Wait a minute or two. Verification codes can occasionally be delayed.
Tap Resend Code if the option is available on screen.
Still stuck?
