Which phones and fitness trackers work with Amissa?

Last updated: March 25, 2026

Amissa works on iPhones, iPads, and Android phones. A fitness tracker or other device is optional — the app works on its own for symptom logging, mood tracking, and health trends — but connecting one adds sleep, heart rate, and activity data to give you and your provider a more complete picture.

Supported phones and tablets

  • iPhone — Download Amissa from the App Store. Device data syncs through Apple Health.

  • iPad — Amissa is available on iPad, though some features are optimized for iPhone.

  • Android — Download Amissa from the Google Play Store. Device data syncs through Health Connect.

Supported fitness trackers and devices

Amissa pulls health data from the following devices. On iPhone, data flows through Apple Health. On Android, data flows through Health Connect.

  • Apple Watch — Syncs automatically through Apple Health.

  • Oura Ring — Connects via the Oura app.

  • Garmin — Connects via Garmin Connect app.

  • WHOOP — Connects via the WHOOP app.

  • Fitbit — Supported on Android via Health Connect. On iPhone, Fitbit does not sync directly with Apple Health — you may need a third-party bridging app. We've tested some third-party apps with varying success, but we cannot make any recommendations for them at this time.

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch — Supported on Android via Samsung Health and Health Connect.

  • Others — The Amissa platform supports any wearable device that syncs its data into Apple Health or Android Health Connect.

What data does Amissa use?

Amissa reads the following types of data from your device (when available):

  • Sleep duration, stages, and quality

  • Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV)

  • Steps, exercise, and activity

We are actively working on adding new metrics and integrations, including:

  • Body temperature

  • Blood Glucose (e.g., Dexcom CGM)

  • Blood Oxygen

  • Respiratory Rate

  • Smart scales

  • Proprietary scores (e.g., Oura)

  • VO2 Max

  • Detailed exercise records

Amissa only reads data your device shares through Apple Health or Health Connect. You choose what to share, and Amissa does not sell patient data to advertisers or marketers.

Our recommendation

If you're looking for a new fitness tracker, we recommend Garmin wrist devices — they're reliable, relatively affordable, work on both iPhone and Android, have good battery life, and offer a wide range of styles from sport-focused to everyday wear.

Do I need a fitness tracker to use Amissa?

No. The app works on its own. You can log symptoms, track mood, record lifestyle factors, and view your health trends without a device. A connected fitness tracker simply adds passive data collection so your provider can see a more complete picture of your health between visits.
